DESIGN - FINDING THE "HAPPY MEDIUM" BETWEEN COMPLICATED CONSTRAINTS Why is designing email signatures so hard? Microsoft Word (Outlook's editor) does unimaginable things to HTML. If you're a programmer, think about this; Word strips out most, but not all,  's. Unless you know which ones it removes and which ones it leaves, you've got an incredibly frustrating design problem. Gmail doesn't know how to correctly render any email composed in Outlook 2007 / 2010, and never forget that you're sending to three differently behaving types of phones. For eleven years we've worked to understand these, and many other, nuances. This focus, and relentless testing, has resulted in truly robust HTML signature code. Whenever possible, we'll try to design a signature for you that fits one of the following two basic layout concepts (sizing, spacing, colors, content, is all flexible, but these layouts work well).
When coded correctly, these really are the happy medium of email signature design. Alternatives are possible, and we'll be glad to discuss your needs. We're good at identifying potential pitfalls (before they arise), and often to then finding effective work-arounds. Simple as email signatures may look, coding them is truly a job best left to an expert. |
