CASE STUDY

Business cards for a 5200 employee NYSE traded professional services company.

Project Requirements:  We were presented with a variety of specific project requirements pertaining to design, features, maintenance, and billing.  Included among these were:

  • The need to utilize one of ten different business card "backgrounds" and two different text color combinations depending upon the employee's business unit.

  • A need to "print" some business unit names on the business card as a single line, and other business unit names on two lines.

  • An option for employees of certain business units to choose between displaying the business unit's legal name or the business unit's DBA (Doing Business As) name on their business cards.

  • Request to include an optional link in the business card to an employee specific BIO page on the corporate website.

  • Specific billing instructions enabling the efficient processing of payments and the assignment of charges to the appropriate account in their general ledger.

  • The enabling of flexible re-positioning (on the business card graphic) of seven of the data elements (direct phone, main phone, cell phone, toll free phone, fax, email address, website address) by the end-user during the ordering process.

  • The inclusion of seven different embedded links within the business card graphic, including a website link directed to various  business unit specific URL's, and map links to their 150 plus locations.

  • A necessity for easily keeping program parameters up-to-date as regional offices are opened, closed, and moved.
